fajitas
Ingredients Needed:
2½ lb. steak or chicken or seafood (or a combination of choice), cut into 1/2-inch strips.
6 Tbsp. vegetable oil or olive oil
1/4 cup water
4 large garlic cloves
Zest of 3 limes
â…“ cup fresh lime juice, plus lime wedges for serving
6 Tbsp. FIREHOUSE CHILIFIRE Chili Spice
1 large onions, cut into thin strips.
1 large red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and cut into thin strips.
1 large orange bell pepper, cored, seeded, and cut into thin strips.

Cooking Instructions:

In a resealable plastic bag, combine FHCF CHILI SPICE, water, and 2 tablespoons of the oil. Add meat, bell peppers, and onion. Seal the bag and knead gently. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Heat the remaining oil in a large skillet. Empty the contents of the bag into the skillet and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisp-tender, and meat is cooked through, about 8-12 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice and lime zest.

Transfer meat and vegetables to a large bowl and serve with flour tortillas, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and lime wedges.

Makes 8 nice sized fajitas.
